Does AVex support all video formats?

AVex product supports all video formats that are supported by windows media player. In other words, it supports almost all video formats, if not all.

Does AVex support Google video files(.gvi)?



Yes. We recommend you use the AVex iPod Video Converter(batch mode) to convert the .gvi video files.

Launch AVex -> "File" menu -> Open Video Files... -> select "Google Video (*.gvi) in the drop-down list box "Files of type" -> click "OK".

Does AVex support Youtube video(.flv)?



Yes. We recommend you use the AVex iPod Video Converter(batch mode) to convert the .flv video files.

Launch AVex -> "File" menu -> Open Video Files... -> select "Flash Video (*.flv) in the drop-down list box "Files of type" -> select the .flv video -> click "OK".

Does AVex support VCD(.dat)?


Yes. Since all VCD movies are encoded in .dat format, converting .dat files is like converting VCD.

Launch AVex -> "File" menu -> Open Video Files... -> select "All Files" in the drop-down list box "Files of type" -> select the DAT video -> click "OK".

Does AVex support VOB?


Yes. Almost the same procedure as mov, rm/rmvb, tivo, mpeg4 conversions.

Launch AVex -> "File" menu -> Open Video Files... -> select "All Files" in the drop-down list box "Files of type" -> select the vob video -> click "OK".

Does AVex support dvr-ms?


Yes. Below shows how you can convert dvr-ms in AVex DVD to iPod Video Suite:

Launch AVex -> "File" menu -> Open Video Files... -> select "All Files" in the drop-down list box "Files of type" -> select the dvr-ms video -> click "OK".

Does AVex support Tivo?


As a matter of fact, yes. All AVex DVD programs support Tivo and Tivo2go, you can easily turn your favorite Tivo video files into iPod MP4 format.

Moreover, with the AVex iPod Video Converter(Batch Mode), video conversion is no longer a tedious task. No longer waiting in front of your computer and select file one by one. All you need to do is select all the Tivo and/or tivo2go files into the conversion queue, configure the audio bitrate, video bitrate, output file format (mp4 or h264), resolution, etc, then press "Convert" button in AVex' main pane, then you can hang out with friends or do something else more important.

Dependent upon the output file format that you choose, mp4 or h264, it may take from 35 minutes to 1 hour to convert a 2-hour movie.
