Does AVex support Tivo?
As a matter of fact, yes. All AVex DVD programs support Tivo and Tivo2go, you can easily turn your favorite Tivo video files into iPod MP4 format.
Moreover, with the AVex iPod Video Converter(Batch Mode), video conversion is no longer a tedious task. No longer waiting in front of your computer and select file one by one. All you need to do is select all the Tivo and/or tivo2go files into the conversion queue, configure the audio bitrate, video bitrate, output file format (mp4 or h264), resolution, etc, then press "Convert" button in AVex' main pane, then you can hang out with friends or do something else more important.
Dependent upon the output file format that you choose, mp4 or h264, it may take from 35 minutes to 1 hour to convert a 2-hour movie.
Does AVex support MPEG4?
Yes, here's how:
Try to use the AVex iPod Video Converter(batch mode) to convert the mp4 format, or download some mpeg4 codec, such as k-lite, media player classic, etc, and try again.
Here's how we converted the mpeg4 file:
We downloaded the latest version K-lite Codec Pack Full, and install it in our testing PCs.
Then we go to windows' "Start" menu -> click "All Programs" -> click "K-lite Codec Pack" -> select "Confirguration" -> click "Divx Decoder" -> check the box "Support decoding of Generic MPEG-4 video".
And there you go, we can start converting mpeg4 file into avi or wmv format file, using AVex DVD to iPod Video Suite.
Does AVex support home-made DVD+R/DVD-R?
AVex' support for home-made DVD+R/DVD-R is limited, because the codecs used by different DVD burners might not be supported by Windows Media Player. And AVex only supports all the standard codecs which are supported by Windows Media Player.
For all of the non-standard codecs DVD+R/-R, users might try using the same video and audio decoders as those that your DVD burner uses. You can configure these video and audio decoders in the "DVD Settings", for reference, you can click here for detailed instruction.
