It's not necessary to purchase backup CD, because:
(1) You can always download the latest version at United Digitals. Even if you can't locate the version you purchase, or you can't activate the latest version with current license key/registration key, you can always contact support@avex-dvd.com , for further assistance, or save the current version to your portable Hard drive disk for future restoration.
(2) There's an extra charge for the backup CD, around $12. You don't have to pay for this service if you can save the AVex DVD to iPod Video Suite to your backup hard drive.
